Exterior shows wear as pictured, including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, chipping and loss to the spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and rubbing and soiling to the page edges. Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume! Internally, this volume is in good shape overall. There is moderate wear to the front hinge, and to the binding itself with moderate wear visible at gutter, however both both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding . This volume is rather fragile due to age, however it should remain sound if handled with care. The former owner ’ s signature is visible on the back of the front cover, however there are no additional markings to note. The text block of this volume is clean overall. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some foxing and soiling scattered throughout, and some general edge wear in the margins , but this volume is otherwise clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings. Perfectly readable throughout! Nicely illustrated throughout.
