Description

Up for sale is a Lynne & Michael Roche Artist Doll Set. Made in England. This is Dorothy & Car , a Limited Edition from 2003 of only 25 ever made and this is # 5. Dorothy is 11" tall with bisque head and hands, hand made lime wood articulated body, blue glass eyes and ash blonde mohair wig. She is wearing a white printed one piece play suit, pale green checked shirt, light green checked jacket, white underpants, white knit socks, light blue suede shoes and carrying a matching light green tote bag. She has her signed hang tag and is also signed on the back of her head. This poor little girl has 2 broken fingers, the pinkie and the ring finger which are pictured for you. She is still adorable and looks so cute sitting in her car. The car is handmade of wood, hand painted with rubber tires. It is 14" long , 6" tall and 7 1/2" deep and is in excellent condition.. A darling Rare set in Excellent Condition.Lynne creates the dolls, hand paints them and dresses them using vintage fabrics and hand-dyed fabrics and wools plus hand-knitted wool .She embellishes the look with hand embroidery and appliques. Michael hand carves all the lime wood bodies and makes the moulds. Their dolls are loved worldwide and were made in small limited editions. They do not make production dolls anymore, just special dolls for Spring and Christmas, so the precious few they did make have become highly sought after Treasures.
