Description

ANECDOTES OF "BUFFALO BILL" That Have Never Appeared in Print by Dan Winget "The Last of the Old Scouts" The journalist and life-long friend of William "Buffalo Bill" Cody recounts a series of youthful adventures that he shared with the man who, with his "Wild West Show", would become perhaps the most famous man in America. The text also includes an account of the author's meeting with Jesse James. The book first appeared in 1912; for sale is the slightly revised second edition of 1927. This copy is signed and inscribed by Winget on the dedication page. An uncommon book and extremely rare signed. The book lacks a dustjacket but is otherwise in quite good shape for its age. The covers show dust and small stains, as seen in the photos. The binding is strong. There is a small owner address label inside the front cover. The text has just a little foxing and other minor signs of age and handling, no significant flaws. Certainly a presentable copy of a rare Western collector's item. Hardcover, 5." X 7.75", 230 pages, illustrated with drawings and four photo plates. Ships promptly & securely.
